Mr. Sweeney's half-way checkpoint

  1. I have learned that there are many tools that will help students learn material, create things, and create a more dynamic classroom.  I have learned that the most important thing is to keep the subject matter and learning objectives as the most important part of the lesson, while using the technology as a vehicle for learning.
  2. I will use some of the tools, such as Toon-Doo, but honestly, I will try to develop more non-Internet integration of technologies, because a lot of the great things we have been shown cannot be utilized on a classroom level until the Internet is faster and more consistent.  For instruction, I will work to make my presentations in more of a 2.0 fashion, and get away from the PowerPoint-take-the-notes approach.  I am definitely interested in my students using Photo Booth to create projects.  I also want to integrate more video creation.  I will use the vocab-grabber also.
  3. I wish to learn more about non-Internet technology integration.
